News Announcement
DeChico Group is thrilled to share the extraordinary achievement of our Chairman and CEO, Chief Chinedu Benson Madubuko, Ezeani Chinechendo, as he brings unprecedented development to his hometown of Adazi-Ani in Anambra State through the construction of 16 roads. This ambitious project, undertaken solely by Chief Madubuko with no governmental or community funding, has set a new standard for philanthropy and regional development, sparking admiration and celebration throughout the state.

Transforming Anambra’s Road Network
As one of Nigeria’s leading entrepreneurs and philanthropists, Chief Madubuko’s dedication to community transformation is evident in this project. Known for his selfless initiatives, he has continued Anambra’s tradition of excellent road infrastructure by investing heavily in Adazi-Ani. The newly constructed asphalt roads, featuring durable drainage systems and safety markings, connect different parts of the town and neighboring communities, making travel smoother and faster for residents and visitors alike.
Easter Week Inauguration and Distinguished Guests
The grand unveiling took place over Easter weekend, where Adazi-Ani buzzed with excitement. On Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021, Chief Madubuko hosted a gathering of notable Igbo leaders, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists who, through their accomplishments, inspire societal progress. Among the attendees were Chief Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma, Chairman of Innoson Group, who inaugurated Factory Road, and other prominent figures such as Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Dr. Cletus Ibeto, Chief Allen Onyema of Air Peace, Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, Sir Emma Bishop Okonkwo, Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, and Dr. Godwin Maduka, each unveiling a newly completed road.
This momentous project saw guests unveil plaques marking their contribution to the inauguration, each road a testament to Chief Madubuko’s dedication to uplifting his community.
Philanthropy at a New Level
Chief Madubuko’s decision to invite renowned Igbo achievers, rather than politicians, emphasized his intention to inspire others with philanthropic capability to contribute to the development of the Igbo nation. By focusing on bringing together these selfless leaders, he created a platform encouraging private investments in communal infrastructure across the state.
When asked about the project, Chief Madubuko emphasized the importance of giving back, saying, “It’s not just about building roads. It’s about building pathways to opportunity, to security, and to a brighter future for our people.”
Recognition and Appreciation from Leaders and the Community
The reception of this incredible project has been overwhelmingly positive. During the opening of Factory Road, Chief Innocent Chukwuma of Innoson Group lauded Chief Madubuko’s “unmatched commitment to community development” and encouraged others to follow his lead. Other distinguished guests, including Senator Uche Ekwunife and Anambra’s Special Adviser on Oil and Gas, Sir Ikechukwu Okafor, praised the quality and scale of the project, with many calling it “international standard.”
Senator Ifeanyi Ubah estimated that the cost of constructing the roads could be as high as N1.5 billion, underscoring Chief Madubuko’s incredible investment in Adazi-Ani’s future. His efforts are expected to boost local business, attract investment, and improve security and safety on the roads.
An Outpouring of Community Appreciation
The roads’ unveiling transformed Chief Madubuko’s home into a hub of well-wishers, townspeople, and friends, who visited to express their gratitude and respect. Young residents of Adazi-Ani, particularly, have shown their deep appreciation, dubbing Chief Madubuko “Mr. Projects” for his contributions to local development. The youths’ enthusiasm was further fueled by Chief Madubuko’s promise that this initiative is only the beginning, with more community projects already in the pipeline.
DeChico Group celebrates Chief Madubuko’s generosity and the positive change he is bringing to his community. Through his extraordinary efforts, Adazi-Ani and Anambra State are experiencing a new chapter in infrastructure and development, setting a high benchmark for community-focused philanthropy in Nigeria.
